If Bachmann is a socialist, then by the same logic, the liberals are capitalists.
On the Chris Matthews show, Michele Bachmann was accused of being a socialist because she took farm subsidies. By the same argument, any liberal who accepted a reduction in taxes of any kind that was intended to promote “capital”, is thus a capitalist.
Show me the liberal who refused to reduce his taxes, and instead donated additional funds to the Treasury to “make up the difference” of what he would have paid had any tax reduction been unavailable.
I think that the argument goes both ways. If there is an opportunity provided by the “system”, then all have to take advantage to remain competitive.
Show me the “tax donations” of the liberals; only then make the argument that Bachmann is a socialist.
