The battle of the sound bites

In the battle of the sound bites, liberals have a distinct advantage. For example, when they say “tax cuts for the rich,” the conservative response requires a reasoned argument and an understanding of economic theory.

In the modern environment, much dialog is conducted via sound bites. I submit that for Conservatives to have an effective platform, effective sound bites that counter the liberal arguments should be developed.

It is easy to see that in a mob, slogans and sound bites are very important. You are at a distinct disadvantage when you cannot counter with your own sound bite.

As in my example, what is the sound bite response to “tax cuts for the rich?”

Coming up with a set of such sound bite responses would be a huge victory, if it is possible.

Again in my example, a possible sound bite would be “tax cuts for job creators.” I am thinking that Newt Gingrich would be a good one to be able to create such responses.

Here is an initial list of liberal sound bites off the top of my head:

  • Tax cuts for the wealthy
  • … on the backs of union members ….
  • It takes a village to raise a child
  • Power to the people
  • Take your hands off my body
