Who is President Obama?

Barack Obama the candidate spoke of “hope and change.” He stirred the crowds and inspired them to hope that he was the one who would become the great leader, to lead a nation back to greatness.

His leadership ability has been well-proven to be absent. In fact, as far as making a real impact along the lines of his promises, he is “missing in action.” Who is he really?

We know have ample proof that he is indeed an orator. In contract to Bush, who could hardly ever be accused of “oratory.” He is indeed a “liberal.” In fact, the extent of his liberalism is more obvious every day, as he remains “immovable” in his steadfastness for a fixed, and rigid ideology. An finally, he is incompetent.

If he was  competent, how could he have failed to pass his entire agenda easily, with control of both houses of Congress?

If he was competent, why could he not have gotten all the Gulf Spill players together in a room on the second day and make them come up with a solution?

If he was competent, he would realize he is an elected official with a duty to the people, and not think that he is the king who rules over subjects.

If he was competent, he would understand that a political leader in a republic gains followers by championing the causes of the citizens.

If he was competent, he would understand that an ideology does not “work” simply because you believe in it, but must be proven by history, experience, and tempered in the realm of experience.

If he was competent, he would understand the difference between policies that are job-killing and those that are job-creating.

If he was competent, he would understand that the private sector creates the abundant life.

But since he is not competent, he believes that …

  • other are the causes of his problems (blame it on Bush);
  • it is better to “fiddle while Rome burns” (treat the gulf oil spill as an academic issue does not need leadership to overcome institutional inertia);
  • the people serve the government (so force them to buy products like HealthCare as part of wealth redistribution schemes);
  • since he is “king” he can ignore the voice of the people on all fronts;
  • that socialist solutions will work, in spite of the fact that they have never worked at any time and in any place, ever;
  • that the government is the source of all wealth and prosperity.
