Things that would increase government control over Americans:
- Ignore the continued operation of Wikileaks because it is a matter of free speech, yet rail against all Conservative champions of free speech
- Having relatively open borders because the extra Democrat votes so gained aids the left in consolidating control
- Giving US criminal protections, Miranda rights and rules of evidence that give bad guys the chance to game the system
- Try to figure out how to abandon Gitmo
- Being blind to who our enemies are
- Being politically correct by not singling out the criminal profile, but instead humiliating the innocent and wasting resources – if this is not an egregious extension of government control, I don’t know what could be
Things that would increase the safety of Americans:
- Closing down Wikileaks because it is an enemy of America vigorously pursuing America’s destruction
- Defending our borders against drug traffickers, human traffickers, and Mexican criminal cartels
- Trying terrorists in military tribunals
- Operating Gitmo
- Recognizing the threat of terrorist from Islamic extremists
- Preventing terrorist acts by behavioral profiling as they do in Israel
Which agenda does our President follow? Answer: the one that is for increasing government control. He runs from anything that would increase our safety.
Isn’t the primary job of the President to defend the nation?
He is an abysmal failure.
Some commentators have recently marveled at the odd positions taken by the left with respect to some of these issues. For example, saw the left vigorously oppose affronts “civil liberties” when it was done by Republicans. For example, wire tapping, and so on. So why have the positions reversed? With the left now cheering for the “intusiveness” of the uber-pat downs and high radiation scanners?
The answer: the professional, hard core left is using “civil liberties” as yet another smoke screen, in the same way that they use “global warming”, “equal rights” , “power to the people”, “environmentalism”, “political correctness” and virtually every other cause.
Their real agenda is expanded government control, government power, government size.
