In defense of those giving the work to the Chinese, if you were running a business and minding your P&L, could you justify buying a higher cost service solely for political reasons?
You cannot fault the shopper for buying the best price. After all, that’s what Wal-Mart is all about.
However, the underlying issue is “why is it that way?”
It’s a complex answer, but part of it includes the union-control and political correctness of our government. That is, we need to pay for “living wages”, “lavish pensions”, “government regulation”, “fair share taxes on the wealthy” and many other penalties on the wealth creators in our country, so that naturally the Chinese can outbid us.
What else did they think would happen?
