It boggles my mind to see the liberal viewpoint to be so self-absorbed that it does not recognize the blatantly obvious flaws of its rationale.
When Obama was elected on a rising tide of euphoria, the 70 percent of Americans who gave their approval were seen as “wise”, “post-racial”, and full of brotherly love.
After subsequent events did not turn out to the liking of the “silent majority”, because of their betrayed aspirations and the outright deception of the Obama machine, those same Americans are now seen as “stupid”, “racist” and “hateful.”
Is it the silent majority, that was “enlightened” when they went along with the ascendancy of the progressive agenda that has changed?
It appears that the mouthpieces of that progressive agenda think so, as evidenced by their postings. They apparently think that when people agree with them they are sane, but when they disagree they are insane.
Restoring sanity is not about the victory of a viewpoint. It is the recognition of the oft-quoted definition that continuing a failing method will somehow lead to successful results. And therefore changing the method back to the time-tested ways and seeing the proof of success.
Make no mistake: the truth will be shown by the outcomes that result from moving back to proven principals of free-market, individual responsibility and small government.
But I can promise you that just as the left has blamed Bush for its failures, it will attempt to take the credit for the success of the truly sane policies. They will think it is their failing methods that worked.
