When CEOs mislead investors like Obama misleads taxpayers, they go to jail.
History is full of cases when corporate leaders go to jail because they have duped investors by misrepresenting the financial condition of their company. Remember Bernie Madoff?Enron? Arthur Anderson? Global Crossing? WorldCom?
But when a politician does it, he often gets praise from all those who are sharing in the goodies. “Pay off those who want free things with endless free things and they will support you forever”, they say.
Obama’s blatant misrepresentations and outright lies would get him convicted, if instead of the CEO of the United States he was the CEO of a corporation.
When “truth” is determined by popular vote, crimes are allowed, criminals go unpunished, and all of society suffers.
