Presumed innocent? Or Presumed guilty?

by Jeffrey Simon on November 16th, 2011

It seems that nowadays you no longer have the presumption of innocence in the body politic. Instead the presumption of innocence depends on how much we “like” the person. You can tell a person’s political affiliation by their judgement of guilt or innocence. No longer to the facts seems to matter much, but rather who we like.

Here is list of individuals tried in the courts of public opinion, for whom their guilt or innocence has been largely determined by your view or viewpoint:

  • Barack Obama
  • Barney Frank
  • Chris Dodd
  • Franklin Raines
  • OJ Simpson
  • Casey Anthony
  • Herman Cain
  • Joe Paterno
  • Ben Bernanke
Who do you think is guilty? Depends who you like.
