There is a lot of talk about “fairness”. Obama when asked about the truth that cutting capital gains tax would increase revenue stated that it is not about revenue, it is about fairness.
The GOP has missed the boat because they have gotten on the wrong side of the argument. They argue economic truths, reality, how the world really works, etc. But they miss the boat because our educational system, mass media, and pop culture has indoctrinated a majority of people that such things do not matter. That is, reality does not matter. What matters how one feels about oneself and the world, and whether it is “fair”.
“Not Fair” is really just the politically correct version of “Envy”.
