In a strange turn, it seems the Left now is advocating racial profiling. In the two cases of Meg Whitman and Lou Dobbs, some on the left are accusing them of wrongdoing in hiring illegal aliens.
How should Meg Whitman have known her housekeeper was illegal? Whitman followed all the laws. But “she should have known.” How? By racial profiling she should have gone after her housekeeper because she was Hispanic. Is that what her critics are advocating?
Lou Dobbs hired subcontractors who may have hired illegal aliens. How should Mr. Dobbs have gone about knowing they were illegal? By demanding the provide proof of legality? Under what law? Oh, yeah, he should have racially profiled.
We are a country of laws. The Left in many cases does not respect laws, unless they are an Alinsky-like “means to an end.” The Left also has no principles (save one). They have no principles that they will not shoot down to get to their ends.
“Let’s have universal health-care because the only way it works is if it covers everyone.” Except, labor unions. Except big business. Except those who buy them off.
What one principle does the Left have? I grant they do have one. It is to gain power, at any cost.
You can look at any of the Left’s so-called “causes.” When you look beneath the surface, it can be proven that they are all cases of “not letting a crisis go to waste” in their quest for their real goal: power.
