By the standards of the American working class, public sector union members are “wealthy.” I am going to call them the “union-wealthy.”
The union-wealthy are those that have a secure job, with at least double the compensation and benefits beyond comprehension. What is is now, that such public sector employees earn an average of $150,000 in compensation? I don’t even know if that includes the benefits. If not, then they are even better off.
So they are the union-wealthy.
If it is true that the wealthy should make a greater sacrifice, then the union-wealthy need to make a greater sacrifice.
No more whining about “balancing the budget on the backs of the government worker.” It is their own party line that behooves them to make this sacrifice.
