For a long time it bothered me when the Dems would say “Republicans have no ideas.” The reason was because it was abundantly clear that the Republicans in fact have an abundance of ideas. But they were excluded from the conversation. But I still could not fathom why the Dems said they had “no ideas.”
Now I know why. It is because the Progressives in their arrogance consider their ideas to be valid. But any opposing ideas are invalid. Republicans thus have “no ideas” because their ideas are different from the Dems’ ideas. The Republican ideas “don’t count”, “are not real” simply because they are not the Dems’ ideas.
For example, the Dems say the Republicans have no ideas how to fix our government, because they don’t have ideas that enlarge the government, make it more intrusive, have government determine the winners and losers, and generally get in the way of how we live our lives. And unless you have ideas that enlarge the government, make it more intrusive, have government determine the winners and losers, and generally get in the way of how we live our lives, then you really have no ideas.
How elitist! How arrogant! How narcissistic!
